September is here.
Children are back to school and the world seems to have quickly returned to its “normal” rhythms… well, at least as normal can be given our pandemic experiences.
This is an exciting and milestone year for Taber & District Community Adult Learning Association as we are offering programs to the community and surrounding areas for the 50th year. Over the years we have seen many changes, and have grown. Our services have expanded from general interest courses, to courses focused on literacy and English as a Second Language. Our services have expanded to include employment and career assistance, youth employment programs, and Newcomers settlement assistance. We service Taber and the Municipal District of Taber, as well as the County of Warner with a satellite office in Warner.
All of this has resulted from responding to your requests and interests in courses and services; and, from community needs assessments which have identified service gaps that need to be addressed. We are always interested in hearing from members of our community. If you are interested in taking a course, accessing a service, volunteering, or have an idea to share please contact us, or drop by for a visit. We would love to hear from you. We look forward to another exciting year continuing to “create a vibrant learning community that supports changing and improving one life at a time.”
